According to the Preliminary Results of Economic Census 2022, there are currently 753,670 business establishments, employing 2.98 million people in the Kingdom of Cambodia. The census results further showed that almost 1.14 million employed people, or 38.3 percent, were male and 1.84 million, or 61.7 percent, were female. Regarding employment and number of establishments by industries, Wholesale & Retail Trade and repair of motorbike and car was the largest at 66.3%, followed by Accommodation and Food service at 12.8%, and Manufacturing sector at 7.3%.
